This beautiful Queenslander in Hawthorne has been owned by the same family for 22 years, and this is the second time we have decorated this home in that time. Our client loves dark colours, so we chose navy as the main hero colour of the soft furnishings in the upstairs living and dining rooms, which is then held firmly into place with the navy grass weave wallpaper. We love how the wallpaper envelopes the spaces, offering a strong sense of warmth, richness and sophistication paired with the relaxed nature of the timber, bamboo and rattan elements. The green living room downstairs feels fresh, even against the contrast of the strong dark colours of the deep chocolate timber floors and black plantation shutters that help anchor the room.
