CLAYFIELD RESIDENCE

Photographer: John Downs

This beautiful historic Queenslander underwent a major building renovation which was necessary for creating a more liveable environment, bringing relevance of how we live and entertain in our homes today. Perhaps the most life changing was the addition of the master wing to the upper level, as well as the extension at the rear of the house to form a generous indoor/outdoor entertainment area, doubling the existing space the home originally had allocated for this purpose. The client requested a ‘Hamptons style’ which worked seamlessly with the classic details of the original architecture. New, existing and antique furniture items were used to bring the soft furnishing elements to this aesthetic.
